Don Kleinmuntz

Don N. Kleinmuntz, Ph.D., is President and Cofounder of Strata Decision Technology. Prior to becoming President in 2011, he served as Executive Vice President, CFO, and CIO. Dr. Kleinmuntz is an experienced software executive, entrepreneur, consultant, research scientist, and educator. He is a recognized expert on business analytics, decision making tools and processes, and leveraging information technology to improve decision making by complex organizations. He has extensive experience with a broad range of analytical tools, including decision and risk analysis, statistical models, optimization, and other advanced analytical techniques. Dr. Kleinmuntz has consulted to hospitals, multi-hospital healthcare systems, and other healthcare organizations, and to a wide variety of other organizations and companies, including the American Hospital Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arthur Andersen, Caterpillar, Deloitte and Touche, KPMG, Texas Instruments, and several government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He previously held faculty positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the MIT Sloan School of Management, the University of Southern California, and the University of Texas at Austin. A three-time graduate of the University of Chicago, he has a BA in Statistics and both an MBA and PhD from Chicago's Booth School of Business. Dr. Kleinmuntz was the founding editor-in-chief of the journal Decision Analysis, and has won awards for research, teaching, and professional service. He is a Fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences, and is Past President of that organization.

Catherine Kleinmuntz

Catherine Kleinmuntz, Ph.D., is Senior Advisor and Cofounder of Strata Decision Technology. Dr. Kleinmuntz was CEO and President for fifteen years, and has more than two decades of leadership experience at the intersection of cutting-edge software technology and healthcare financial management. She also has extensive consulting experience with strategic financial planning for healthcare organizations of all types, as well as experience in both clinical and financial administration of healthcare provider organizations. She has been a speaker at seminars and programs sponsored by the Healthcare Financial Management Association, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American College of Healthcare Executives and healthcare organizations throughout the country. She holds a BA, MBA and Ph.D., all from the University of Chicago.

Strata Decision Technology is a portfolio company of Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS), a leading private investment firm that invests in buyout and structured investments in the information, education, media, communications and business services industries in North America and Europe.
